Marshall Scores Late To Top Dragons in Season Opener

Charlotte, N.C. - Marshall scored three unearned runs in the seventh inning to hand Drexel (0-1) an 8-4 loss at the UNC Charlotte First Pitch Invitational Tournament. In the Dragons' first game of the year senior Brianne Brown knocked out two hits to give her 100 for her career. Freshman Ashley Botelho smacked a three-run homer in Drexel's four-run fourth inning for her first career hit.

Freshman Breanna Gomez took the loss despite not giving up an earned run in two and one third innings pitched. She fanned three batters and gave up for hits from the circle.
